What is the checked baggage allowance on Royal Brunei Airlines flights?
From 1 November 2019, Royal Brunei Airlines offers included check-in baggage allowance from 20kg for guests travelling in Economy Class and 40kg in Business Class. Guests traveling within RB Link destinations are entitled to 15kg baggage allowance, whilst international transit guests will be in line with the international sectors baggage allowance. You may refer to the table below or your ticket conditions for your entitled baggage allowance. Due to health and safety regulations, a single piece of baggage may not weigh more than 32kg.

Checked baggage allowance for tickets purchased before 1 November 2019 remains unchanged at 30kg for Economy Class guests or 40kg for Business Class guests.
Inter-Borneo destinations operate an all-Economy only cabin.
If you’re travelling with family or friends on the same flight and booking, you can pool your total weight allowance.
I booked my ticket before 1 November 2019 and am traveling after 1 November 2019, will my baggage allowance be reduced inline with the new allowance?
No. If you have purchased your tickets before 1 November 2019, your checked baggage allowance remains unchanged at 30kg for Economy Class guests or 40kg for Business Class guests. However, if you have purchased your ticket on or after 1 November 2019, our new baggage allowance will apply.
I purchased my ticket before 1 November 2019. What happens when I make changes to my ticket after 1 November 2019?
If the changes result in any additional fees/charges, the new checked baggage allowance will apply.
What is the baggage allowance for RB Link flights?
Baggage allowance for inter-Borneo destinations is 15kgs per guest, whilst international transit guests will be inline with the international sectors baggage allowance.

Scenario 1:
You are traveling from any of our RB Link destinations to Brunei.
Flight journey: Kota Kinabalu > Brunei > Kota Kinabalu
Your baggage allowance is 15kgs per guest
Scenario 2:
You are traveling from any of our RB Link destinations onwards to any of RB’s destinations beyond Brunei.
Flight journey: Kota Kinabalu to Melbourne (via Brunei) and returning to Kota Kinabalu (via Brunei)
Your baggage allowance will be from 20kgs per guest for the entire journey, in accordance to the class of travel.
What is the cabin baggage allowance on Royal Brunei Airlines flights?
Business Class guests are entitled to two pieces of cabin baggage. Each piece should weigh no more than 7kg and the combined weight of both pieces should not exceed 12kg.
Economy Class guests are entitled one piece of cabin baggage not exceeding 7kg.

Can I bring sports equipment with me during my travel?
Yes, you can. For tickets purchase on or after 1 November 2019, sports equipment are carried as part of the free baggage allowance in accordance to the class of travel.

I am a student. Am I eligible for additional baggage allowance?
Students travelling to the destination country of study as well as returning to their home country are given an additional 15kg of baggage allowance. Students must provide a valid student visa or Electronic Visa in the passport as well as a valid student ID/pass for verification at the check-in desk. This additional allowance applies to both Brunei and international students.
If I am traveling with my family or friends, am I allowed to pool our total weight allowance?
Yes. If you’re travelling with family or friends on the same flight and booking, you can pool your total weight allowance.
I am traveling with an infant. What is the baggage allowance is an infant entitled to?
An infant is entitled to 10kg baggage allowance.
