Online Check-In

When and where can I use online check-in?

Guests may visit www.flyroyalbrunei.com on desktop and mobile to check-in online and even select or change their seat/s.
The online check-in facility is not available for the below countries:

  • Saudi Arabia
  • China

Online / mobile check-in is available for confirmed bookings from 48 hours up to 60 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time for all guests travelling with electronic tickets (e-tickets).

I have been successful with my RB Upgrades offer. Am I still eligible to utilise the online check-in facility?

No, kindly check-in at any of our Business Class counters.

I have made a special request in my booking. Am I still eligible to utilise the online check-in facility?

Online / mobile check-in facility is now available for confirmed bookings with special requests below:

  • Special meal requests
  • Passenger travelling on a wheelchair
  • Meet-and-assist request

For all other special requests, please contact your local Royal Brunei Airlines office.

My online / mobile check-in is successful. What must I do next when I arrive at the airport?

Due to security requirements, you are required to proceed to the designated online check-in counters available at both Business and Economy Class check-in areas to obtain your Boarding Pass and to drop-off your luggage, at least one (01) hour before the scheduled departure time of your flight.

For passengers departing from Bandar Seri Begawan / Brunei International Airport and holding tickets issued by RB, with ticket numbers which begins with 672 and, who has no check-in baggage, may proceed directly to immigration with their online printed boarding pass (A4 Size with the title Boarding Pass printed on top left hand side).

If you are travelling with check-in baggage, you may proceed to the designated online counter at both Business and Economy counter for luggage drop.

If you are holding tickets other than RB ticket but travelling on RB services, you are required to pay your airport tax at:

  • Royal Skies check-in counter for Business Class passenger
  • PSC counter for Economy Class passenger

For guests who have checked-in online but receive a document labelled “Confirmation / This is not a boarding pass” on the top left hand corner are advised to proceed to the designated online check-in counters for verification and reprint of boarding pass(es) prior to proceeding to security gates, immigration and boarding gate.

Online check-in counter and Luggage drop-off acceptance will close at 45 minutes prior to scheduled departure time for all destinations, except London which will close at 60 minutes (one hour) prior to scheduled departure time.

I have checked-in online. Is there a time scheduled for checked-in luggage drop-off?

Online check-in luggage drop remains the same as per regular check-in. Luggage drop-off acceptance will close at 45 minutes prior to scheduled departure time for all destinations, except London which will close at 60 minutes (one hour) prior to scheduled departure time.
Therefore we advise passengers to arrive at the airport early and set aside ample time for luggage drop-off and immigration security clearance.

Will I be able to print Boarding Passes?

Yes. For eligible guests departing from destinations other than Jeddah, you are given the option to print bar-coded boarding pass (A4 size paper) once you have successfully completed your online check in.
For passengers departing from destinations other than Bandar Seri Begawan (with the exception of Jeddah), you may proceed to print your ‘Confirmation/ This is not a boarding pass’ (A4 size paper), for which you have to change with an actual boarding pass at check-in counter.

Will I be able to print Boarding Passes for codeshare flights?

Online check-in services will not be available for codeshare flights that are not operated by Royal Brunei Airlines.

What is online / mobile check-in?

Online / Mobile Check-In is a system that allows guests to save time at the airport by checking-in online prior to arriving at the airport for your Royal Brunei Airlines flight.
The online / mobile check-in facility is available in most cities in Royal Brunei Airlines network, with the exception of departures from Jeddah.
